LCol Bratland appointed OMM

 

 

On 20 Jan 2011, LCol Leo Brodeur, Commanding Officer RCSU(Pra), announced that LCol Al Bratland, Commanding Officer of Rocky Mountain National Army Cadet Summer Training Centre, has been appointed to the Order of Military Merit in the grade of Officer in recognition of his outstanding meritorious service as a CIC officer to the cadet programme and the Canadian Forces.

 

Instituted 01 July 1972, the Order of Military Merit was established to provide a worthy means of recognizing conspicuous merit and exceptional service by members of the Canadian Forces, both regular and reserve. The Queen of Canada is the Sovereign of the Order and the Governor-General is both Chancellor and a Commander of the Order. The Chief of the Defence Staff is, by virtue of that office, the Principal Commander of the Order. The Order comprises three levels: Commander (CMM); Officer (OMM); and Member (MMM).
