Capt Rene Roy

 

Captain Renee Roy was born in Sherbrooke QC and grew up in the Comox Valley where she graduated from GP Vanier Secondary School in 1999. Captain Roy joined 1726 Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s) Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps at the age of thirteen and left as the Company Sergeant Major and with the rank of Master Warrant Officer.

Captain Roy enrolled as a civilian instructor with 1726 RCACC in September 2001 and by February 2002 was attested as an Officer in the Cadet Instructor Cadre. Captain Roy took over the training officer position in 7 September 2002 and has held that position since. Captain Roy was promoted to her present rank and assumed the position of Commanding Officer of 1726 Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s) Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps on the 7 June 2006 .

Captain Roy works as a cashier at the Real Canadian Superstore in Comox. She currently lives in Courtenay with her husband Bob and dog Brew
