Capt Anthony C. Bone CD
Captain Anthony Challacombe Bone was born in Fort Nelson, BC and grew up in the communities of Fort Nelson, Calgary Alberta, Prince George, Sechelt, Surrey and Victoria, BC, where he attended Belmont Senior Secondary School. Captain Bone was a member of 307 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps (RCSCC) ‘Mariner’ in Surrey, 5 RCSCC ‘Rainbow’ in Victoria and 263 RCSCC ‘Beacon Hill in Langford. He achieved his First Aid Instructor Certification on the Medical Assistant Course held at Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Quadra in Comox, BC and received his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award in 1993.
Captain Bone enrolled in the Canadian Forces Reserves with HMCS Malahat in 1994. In 1997, he re-enrolled in the Canadian Forces Reserves as an Officer in the Cadet Instructor’s Cadre (CIC) and acted as the Administration Officer with 848 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron (RCACS) ‘Royal Roads,’ and has held all positions within 848 RCACS. Captain Bone became the Chief Judge for the Provincial Military Cadet First Aid Competitions in BC in January 1998. Captain Bone transferred to 1726 ‘Canadian Scottish Regiment’ Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps (RCACC) on the 1 March 2004, became the Deputy Commanding Officer, and became the Corps’ Commanding Officer in September 2004. Capt Bone was the Commanding Officer of 2422 RCACC from September 2006 until June 2009.
In October 2004 Capt Bone was invested into the Order of St John of Jerusalem as a serving Member and in November 2007, he received his Canadian Forces Decoration for 12 years of service.
Captain Bone currently works as a civilian employee for the Dispute Resolution Centre (DRC) at CFB Esquimalt as a Mediator and Conflict Resolution Practitioner. Captain Bone holds many certificates and qualification in Conflict Resolution, Mediation, and is a Graduate of Royal Roads University (2005), where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Applied Communication.
Captain Bone and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Shawnigan Lake, BC along with their daughter Brieanna and son Mackenzie.
