The 2812 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps PIPE AND DRUM BAND takes SILVER in Richmond Competition

Details:

Regional Cadet Band Competition .
Approx 20 military type cadets bands comprising of air, sea, and army cadets, with only 2 pipe and drum bands competing. 200 plus cadets in total.
Held in the Richmond Arena on Sat April 22. 2812's first year competing in a competition. Placed a High Silver, very impressive for their first year. Our WO Kirby placed Gold for Pipe Major. We had 7 cadets in our pipe and drum band performing traditional highland tunes and 5 cadets in our drumline performing a drum fanfare that was the highlight of the entire day. All the cadets are rigorously marked for their uniform dress, drill movements, and performance abilities. 2812 was among the most polished performers of the day.

Band Members:  WO Kirby S (P/M), WO Kirby B (D/M), WO Vadeanu (D/S), MCpl Scruggs, MCpl Devitt, MCpl Karia, MCpl Cornish, MCpl Ford, Cpl Pries, Pte Russell, Pte Daniel, Cdt Bunch (courtesy Cathy Bach)

The following includes a large group of photos that show how much effort goes into an Annual Ceremonial Review, the highlight of the year's training for all corps across the country. A special thanks to Phil Edge for taking on this remarkable photo essay.
