Major John Brown, CD

Sixteenth Commanding Officer

Major John Brown, a native of Fleetwood, Lancashire , England first served in the Air Training Corps (Cadets) in England . In 1962 he was commissioned in the Royal Air Force (RAF) and obtained his glider pilot wings. In 1966 he settled in Windsor and transferred to The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) for service in the Primary Reserves. As a Flight Lieutenant, he commanded #322 ( Windsor ) Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. In 1969 he again transferred to the Land Element as a Lieutenant in 39 Technical Squadron (RCEME). Captain Brown has served as Company Commanding and, for the past two years, as Deputy Commanding Officer of 21 ( Windsor ) Service Battalion.
