Biography

Captain Diane Scott (nee Neatby)

 

Captain Scott was born in St. Boniface Manitoba in December of 1962.  She joined 2479 Winnipeg Service Battalion Cadet Corps in 1975 where her brother was the Cadet CO.  When her father was posted to Calgary in 1976 she transferred to 1955 Calgary Service Battalion Cadet Corps were she reached the rank of C/Capt in 1980.  In 1979 she obtained her Gold Star and attended the March Break Exchange to England.  During the summer of 1979 she attended Banff National Army Cadet Camp and was a staff cadet at Camp Wright  (Athabasca, Alberta) in 1980.

After aging out she became a CIL Officer with 1955 RCACC holding the position of Administration Officer for the Corps (1982-1985).  In 1986 after her husband was transferred to Lahr, West Germany she transferred from Sup List to 2596 Lahr Army Cadet Corps, again working as Administration Officer.  In the spring of 1988 she again transferred to Sup List.

Upon moving to Woodstock , NB in 2000 after her husband retired from the CF she transferred back to the CIC with 318 RCACC (2001) again holding the position of Administration Officer.  In the fall of 2001 Captain Scott took over as Commanding Officer of 318 RCACC holding that position for 3 years.  After stepping down as CO she remained with the Corps holding other various positions, Supply Officer and Admin O.

Captain Scott is married to Tim Scott and they have 2 boys.
