#9 Cadet Corps
From the collection of the late Major Craig Mills who began his military career in No. 9 RCACC in London ON in 1957, did all of his summer camps at Ipperwash, joined the militia with 3RCR (later 4RCR) and was an instructor at the Ipperwash Army Cadet Camp until 1962 when he joined the Regular Army and was commissioned into The Canadian Guards. He reclassified to Public Affairs in 1972 and was editor of Sentinel magazine before retiring in 1984. Craig considered his army cadet time as the most valuable of all his experiences. It taught him lessons and brought him friends that sustained him throughout his lifetime. He died of kidney failure in June, 2011.
