History -   

Saint John Vocational School Cadet Corps was formed 6 Nov 1940. Affiliation: 2/4th (R) Signal Coy. RCCS Mar 17, 1943. In 1943, the corps was affiliated with 2/4th Signal Company. Affiliation: No.2 Area Signal Sqn. Affiliation: 5th Independant Signal Sqn. Jun 23, 1960 In 1961, affiliation was with 5th Ind. Signal Squadron, and later (pre72) to 3rd Field Artillery Regt (RCA) in St. Jean.
On 28 Dec 1967 the Corps redesignated to Saint John Army Cadet Corps.
Letter 1085-11-3 (Cdts) dated 8 Nov 1974 placed the Corps on probation due to staff changes until the next annual inspection, at which time probation was removed.
Effective 19 May 1978 co-sponsorship was assumed with the Board of School Trustees and the Royal Canadian Artillery Association (The Loyal Company) as co-sponsor. According to the 1982 annual inspection, the co-sponsor resigned. 
Effective 27 Mar 1987, Corps changed sponsor from the Board of School Trustees, District 20 to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 14, Saint John (D Cdts Msg 624).
Eff 21 May 1996 sponsor changed to Knights of Columbus Council No 6595 (D Cdts Adm 423).
