History -

"This Corps was originally formed 3 May 1943 as 1955 41st (R) Fd Regt RCA Cadet Corps (Western Canada College). In 1944 an error in designation was pointed out and the title was changed (Western Canada High School). On 22 Apr 1948 affiliation was assumed by 19th Medium Regt RCA (RF) and redesignated as 1955 19th Medium Regt RCA Cadet Corps (Western Canada High School). Effective 17 Feb 1950, the unit was disbanded and was reformed as part of #2378 Calgary Cadet Corps with #1292 and #2137 (formed effective 9 Feb 1950, disbanded 15 Apr 1955). See #2378 CC for further information.

Effective 23 Feb 1954 the corps was reformed under the sponsorship and affiliation of 19th Medium Regt RCA (RF) and designated as 1955 19th Medium Regt RCA Cadet Corps. On 1 Jan 1962 sponsor requested the Corps to be redesignated as 1955 19th Medium Artillery Regiment Cadet Corps. On 1 Apr 1965 sponsorship was assumed by Calgary Service Battalion who requested that the Corps be designated by same. In 1967 affiliation was transferred to C Pro C. In a message (Cdts 106) dated 16 Feb 1976, the correct unit of affiliation was the Calgary Service Battalion. Effective 27 Jun 1983 sponsorship was assumed by South Calgary Branch 276, Royal Canadian Legion."
