History -   

This Corps was formed 1 Apr 54 and known as 2511 Lake Superior Scottish Regiment (Motor) Cadet Corps. affil.: Lake Superior Scottish Regt, Apr 1, 1954. It was sponsored and affiliated with the Lake Superior Scottish Regiment. Effective 3 Jun 1959 the Corps redesignated Lake Superior Scottish Regiment Cadet Corps (due to a change of designation of the sponsoring unit). In a message Cdts 451, 24 Apr 1973 LSSR Senate requests acceptance of sponsorship of the corps. In message D Cdts 312 the sponsor is changed to The Lake Superior Scottish Regiment (Motor) Association. CF790 for 1992/93 lists Lake Superior Scottish Regiment Association Senate as sponsor as of 26 May 93 although no formal authority was given.
