History -   

 2826 College de Hearst Cadet Corps was formed 1 Mar 1968. In a message, Cdts 596 dated 28 Sep 1970, the Corps was redesignated 2826 Hearst Army Cadet Corps. This Corps was placed on probation 11 Feb 1974 for a period of one month due to non-suitable accommodation. Message UNCLAS Cdts 2353 dated 23 Dec 1976, changed sponsor to Branch 173, Royal Canadian Legion, Hearst. Letter 1085-11-4 (COS Reg Ops) dated 8 Dec 1980 states that due to inactivity, the Corps would be placed on probation until 31 Dec 1980. Letter 1085-11-4 (DCOS Ops) dated 22 Apr 1982 removes the Corps from probation.
