Penhold Air Cadet Summer Training Centre has a history back into the 1960s as an Air Cadet Camp, it's early history dates back to WWII with the British Commonwealth Air Training Program (BCATP) and the RAF. On this page, we'll concentrate on the period of time when army cadets were associated with Penhold. In 1986, the Music Training Wing was tri-service and for two summers, 1998 and 1999, Penhold served as a training camp for two basic army cadet courses for Prairie Region. In 2000, the basic army cadet courses moved back to Vernon.
