10 Cadet Corps from the National Capital Region came together on Easter Sunday (8 April 2012) for the National Youth Vimy Ceremony at the National War Memorial, Ottawa.  There were approximately 250 cadets participating who filled roles normally held by the Canadian Forces.  The event was supported by the Army Cadet League of Canada (national office), Veterans' Affairs Canada, Canadian Forces Support Unit (Ottawa) and local Army Cadet Corps.

The Ceremony was reviewed by Mr Royal Gallipeau, MP.  It was followed by an overnight vigil at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, until relieved the next morning by the Canadian Forces.

On 11 Nov 2012, cadets from 2804 represented the youth of Canada at the Remembrance Ceremony at the National Military Cemetery (Beechwood) in Ottawa.  While there, the cadets visited the grave of Captain Frank Paul, former Operations Officer of 28 (Ottawa) Field Ambulance who passed away while on leave from Afghanistan.
