Alberta - British Columbia Western Command Trades Training Camp

This was the camp's first name, it would be many years before it would go by Vernon Army Cadet Camp let alone VASCTC. This piece of history is as musing as it is insightful. Of particular interest is the bunk layout (page 7) and the detailed map of the camp including the long ago demolished QM quonset huts across the street from B3 Stores. As well, the camp was divided into two parts, the traditional 10-day summer camp for some 1000 cadets and the 6-week trades training camp for 200 cadets.
