Biography

LCol David D. Snow, CD



Lt Col David Snow was born in Saint John, NB and, with the exception of two years at Vernon High School, took most of his early education in that province.

He enrolled in the Royal Canadian Artillery in 1951 at Kingston, Ontario, Since then he has served in various regimental positions with the 1st, 2nf and 3rd Regiments Royal Canadian Horse Artillery. His overseas appointments include Korea, two tours with the Canadian NATO forces in Germany, training officer with the Armed Forces Training Team in Tanzania and exchange officer with the Directorate of Royal Artillery in London, England. He also attended the Artillery Staff Course in Shilo, Manitoba and the Armed Forces Staff College in Toronto. His last appointment before retirement in 1979 was Pacific Region Cadet Officer in Victoria, BC where he now resides.

Lt Col Snow is the son of Brigadier and Mrs T.E. Snow of Fredericiton, NB. Brigadier SNow commanded the Vernon Camp during the years 1944-46 when it was a regular force base.

 

Lt Col Snow died 1984.
